- I run a homelab. What can I do with it?
- Anything you like at home: every feature of Runtime, and Relay on up to 25 nodes, with no time limit and no fee. Need more nodes? Ask, and we’ll extend it free. You only need a license if you make money with it.
- What counts as commercial use?
- If you make money with it, at a company or on your own, you need a commercial license. Free use covers home use and education only, and education means teaching and learning Gleipnir: a school running its own systems on it needs a license. Evaluating it at work is free with an evaluation license. If you’re not sure which applies, email us and we’ll give you a straight answer.
- What support comes with a license?
- Every commercial license includes a one-hour onboarding session and email support from the engineers who build Runtime and Relay. We reply within one business day.
- What’s a production install?
- One Runtime server that runs AI agents against your real systems. Its staging and development installs are included in the same license.
- How do we buy?
- Email us with what you want to license. We send an invoice, and once it’s paid, a formal license file. Your onboarding session and support start then.
- Do discounts stack?
- No. Yearly billing, the 20% bundle and design-partner pricing don’t combine; you get the largest one that applies.
- What happens if we cancel?
- Your commercial license is revoked, along with support. To keep using Runtime or Relay for work, you’d need a new license.
- How does the bundle work?
- License Runtime and any Relay band together and we take 20% off the whole bill.
- What counts as a node?
- One long-lived Linux machine or VM running Relay’s daemon and enrolled with your Relay server. Containers and pods don’t count, and neither do nodes that are switched off. Your band is set by the most nodes you run at once, not by how many come and go.
- What if we grow past our band?
- You can run up to 10% over your band without doing anything. Past that, you move to the next band at your next monthly bill. You can move down the same way.
- How do you count our nodes?
- We don’t. Neither product calls home, so you tell us when your node count moves you into a different band. We may ask you to confirm it once a year.
- What if these prices don’t work for us?
- Tell us. Startups, small teams, nonprofits, or anyone the numbers don’t fit: email us with what you’re running and what you can pay, and we’ll try to make it work.
- Can I read the source?
- Yes. Gleipnir Runtime’s source is public on GitHub under BUSL-1.1, a source-available license rather than an open-source one. Gleipnir Relay’s source goes public with its alpha release.
- Does it run offline or air-gapped?
- Yes. Neither product calls home or sends telemetry, so there’s no license server to reach. The only data that leaves is what you send to a hosted model, if you use one. With a local model and local tools, Runtime runs fully offline, and Relay’s daemons only dial out to your own Relay server.
